Back By Popular Demand! Rev. Robert A. Schuller Returns to TV

Back By Popular Demand! Rev. Robert A. Schuller Returns to TV
Click on this link and it will take you to an article just released yesterday!
Imagine my surprise when I opened my gmail account last evening and this Google alert appeared,"Robert A.Schuller...returns to t.v." Although Robert has been taping his new program in Dallas all week I had no idea that this information was to be released so I was completely surprised! Yes, things are continuing to look brighter as we get through what we had to go through (sounds like one of Robert's book titles!) This week is just another reminder that we serve a faithful God who knows what is best for us even when we can't make any sense of our situation. Please continue to pray for Robert as he uses his gift of inspiration and he shares the faith in new and exciting ways.

As I was reading and enjoying my backyard early this morning a tiny hummingbird appeared and hovered about two feet from my face right at eye level. While I studied his colorful feathers and long, sharp beak he lingered for what seemed like minutes, as if to remind me that beauty is all around me every day: I only need to look and listen for the sights and sounds of God. It brought to my mind the words of Jesus found in Matthew 6, verses 25-27 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

My prayer and wish for you is that you will slow down, take a deep breath of hope, exhale the breath of worry and despair; take note of and appreciate the natural beauty that is all around you. God is blessing you, Donna

  2. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6
    How's that?

  3. Beautiful...just what I needed to hear.I'll be patiently excited. And it's intersting that you meantioned the anxious part. I had six major panic attacks yesterday. Had to hold onto something or lay down as my whole body felt like it was going to collapse. Haven't had one in two years. I think it's because I miss California and all my friends so much. It's been a year and I still long for it. I really loved it there, was happier than I've ever been and my purpose in life, volunteering and helping people made me feel so content. You just said the right words. Isn't it interesting how God works through others? Thanks Donna.

  6. Hi dear Donna, when I got up this morning I checked as always my emails. Wow, what a wonderful surprise to see your mail! Very good news for Robert and the TV viewers. I feel so happy for Robert. I really hope as I told already earlier, I'll have to see Robert and Chris as a video later online, otherwise I can't watch them. Would be a pity! - Yes your right we have to see the beauty of the nature. Like you have seen the hummingbird. The nature is everywhere one of God's miracle. I have an eye for this beauty and appreciate it very much. That helps to overcome when I feel blue.- Every bad thing has an end. But we humans tend to do, to have everything immediately. Give it a bit of patience and you/we will see the light after the tunnel! ( Have read the book you mentioned, great pensive story!) I feel Donna, you and Robert finally can see this light again. - I'm overwhelmed by all this good news.- You are both in my prayers - My dears God is blessing you. - Rosemarie

  8. Oh how I love hummingbirds. We usually have one or two come and visit us every summer when our fuschia plant is in full bloom. They are amazing little birds and a testimony to God. I am so excited about Roberts news. How exciting!

Mary Alvarez I just want you to know that I have you in my prayers. I can truly, truly relate to what you are going through. We lived in Texas for years. Had a great life, a great church, many wonderful friends and then bam we had to move to Seattle Washington. Don't get me wrong Washington is a very beautiful state but Seattle is very liberal and one of the least church going cities in the United states. We have been here for six years now and It took almost all six years before I accepted that this is where God wants us to be. It was a major fight I kept asking God why and was so angry. We still are withouth a church but have not given up looking for one that does not compromise the scriptures and one that does not go along with the liberal rantings of the day. I still miss Texas but when I finally said I surrender and finally turned everything over to God, without taking it back, I started to heal. For now this is home and I pray one day for something better but until then I keep trusting that God will bring us through.

    Blessings,
    Dana

  9. Hi Donna, I loved your blog sometimes we all need a hummingbird to make us see what is really important and sometimes that is hard to do. I am so looking forward to Robert's show I know it will give a lot of people the peace they need to feel.

  10. Hi: Donna we also are looking forward to hearing Robert again. But I am not sure we can get it where I am. But will keep trying.
The hummingbirds come to our garden when our scarlet runner beans are in bloom. They are so beautifull and tiny. God sure is good to us. Big or small everything is made for a reason. And we can always find beauty in what he has made for us.
    God Bless Everyone.

  11. I too was thrilled as my google alert for "Everyday Life" (with Robert Schuller)gave me the Reuters news item. How appropriate that the first episode will be on Thanksgiving Weekend!

Thanks for the Hummingbird part of the blog especially, Donna! I have been too much of a "what if" person by which I mean I have often been preparing for the worst which of course seldom happens. I am working on trusting Him more and not always making contingency plans in case....?

Whatever, God will get me through what I or a loved one is going through. It is good to be sensible for little things like keeping a supply of food and water in the house but I have been too reliant on and demanding of myself to be prepared for all events and I am trusting Him more and more. This is the end of my "What if" stage. He will take care of whatever me and my family needs. I am just His helper!

    Blessings and Love to all

    Jan-Michael

Sorry, I posted this to another blog by mistake and am re-posting it here as "the latest" news on Everyday Life show....

    ‘Quaint’ setting draws TV series

Show with a message sets up base in Denton

12:28 AM CDT on Saturday, September 19, 2009
By Rachel Mehlhaff / Staff Writer
Despite Friday’s rain, a film crew finished shooting the pilot of a new television series that will be based in Denton.

The Rev. Robert A. Schuller’s Everyday Life began filming in Denton on Monday at a private residence and continued filming around the city throughout the week.

A film crew shoots a scene for the Rev. Robert A. Schuller’s Everyday Life on the downtown Square on Friday afternoon. The new series will be based in Denton and aired on the AmericanLife television network.
View larger More photos Photo store It is a show that will be message-driven, said Aaron Norris, executive producer. Norris also produced Walker, Texas Ranger, starring his brother Chuck Norris, which filmed a few episodes in Denton.

Aaron Norris said he hopes people can learn and be entertained at the same time.

On Friday, filming took place at the Courthouse on the Square and down Hickory Street by the railroad tracks.

Denton was picked because the whole series revolves around a small town, director and producer Alin Bijan said. One of Bijan’s most recent films was Bells of Innocence, starring Chuck Norris.

Aaron Norris said he liked the “quaintness of the town and all the wonderful people.”

The show is narrated by Schuller, formerly a co-host of The Hour of Power, the Crystal Cathedral’s long-running television show.

Everyday Life centers on the lives of different people in the town.

Norris compares it to the play Our Town by Thornton Wilder, in which the action is narrated by the Stage Manager.

The characters will not necessarily be the same each week, said Dee Evans, one of the show’s producers.

Each episode will follow the story of a different character’s life.

The pilot episode focuses on a man who has made work his first priority in life, Norris said.

“His priorities are off and his perception is off,” he said.

The pilot episode will include Steve “Sting” Borden, a professional wrestler, and actor Brad Hawkins, who has made appearances in Prison Break, CSI and Monk. The scene filmed by the railroad tracks shows Borden and Hawkins yelling at each other from their vehicles.

The series will premiere on the AmericanLife television network, which is owned by Schuller and his son-in-law Chris Wyatt.

Norris, the president of development at the network, said this is the first show made specifically for AmericanLife.

He said the goal is to make AmericanLife into a family channel.

“We want to be a true family network,” he said.

Everyday Life episodes will continue to be filmed in Denton.

“We love Denton, the look and feel of it,” Evans said.

  14. Hi Donna,

This is just fantastic news. :) I have missed your husband Robert A. being on tv preaching always what I need to hear at that moment. God has an awesome ministry and new season for you all. Wish I still lived in Newport Beach! :( Bless you !

  15. Cysradill, I am sure you will find a way to watch the episodes on TV or on-line.

I really think this is going to be special and if you do not get it immediately, often another network eventually picks up the program. If I cannot get it I am going to find a friend in an area which receives the ALT shows and have it taped and mailed to me!

In the meantime, just the good news coverage is up-lifting! (I find these things by creating a "Google Alert" on Google.com news with the words Everyday Life and then I get a daily email from Google with links to any news item with that phrase so I quickly get the latest.

With His Blessings and a prayer for you and yours,Cysradill

  17. I am so glad to hear Robert is once again going to be able to get his message out to the world via television. I just wish our cable company offered ALN! I'm going to contact them and request it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes! Everyone write to your cable company and also Dish and Direct! Ask them to add ALN to their line-up. They really do respond to the requests. Also, Robert told me that there will be a DVD series availble at stores once the series is up and running. I will also post the trailer for the series when it is finished. No worries about getting it online. The companion website to ALN is changing and becoming more sophisticated. Soon you can watch all the programming whether or not you get it on your traditional television.
Times are changing but God is still in control.

  19. Hi Donna. Thank you for the e-mail. I’m very excited to hear the good news about Robert. We missed him so very much.
I pray that God will bless him and his new program!
I’m not sure though that I can get it here in The Netherlands, but I’ll find out.
I loved your hummingbird story. We are not familiar with the hummingbirds in Holland but lucky me, I have seen the pretty birds many of times when I visited Canada. My sister has a hummingbird feeder and I often made sugar water for them. They are not just very pretty but I just love the sound they make with their wings.
A wise lesson you thought us Donna.
Like sysradill said, big or small, everything is made for a reason.
As usual I drove on my bike to work this morning and all of it sudden I hear somebody singing:-

“when you walk through a storm hold your head up high, and don’t be afraid of the dark, at the end of the storm is a golden sky and a sweet silver song of a lark, walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart and your never walk alone… you never walk alone”

It was the garbage man who was singing this song while he was collecting the garbage bags.
He brightened my day and I’m sure he lifted up many others, and he wasn’t even aware of it!

Dear Mary, I pray for you, I know what you are going through with the panic attacks.
Keep looking up and know that people care for you even we are far apart.

    Much Christian love everyone

    Ria

  20. Hi dear Donna, thanks for the ALN hint. Good to hear we can buy a DVD. But how can we get it not living in USA, via an Internet store? When it's online, will it be on their internet TV at the same time bradcasted as on TV or can we watch it later when ever we wish? Later with our time difference would be much easyer for us here in Europe. To recommend it for our "stubborn" cable TV, I do not see a possibility. - God is blessing you and Robert ! Rosemarie

  22. I just finished watching CC as I do every Sunday and as I have done for several years. I am still nagged by the way in which the Crystal Cathedral disbensed with the services of Robert Anthony. I started watching CC and supporting them and when this happened I had trouble continuing my support.I think that a full explanation by CC is owed to supporters. All we are left with is to wonder. I'm sorry but I don't think silence is the same as honesty. It leaves too many questions. I'll be looking for you in Canada where I live. If it has to be on a computer...so be it. Glad Ive found you.
