  2. Thanks Donna for the wonderful message and to answer your question, I have chosen to lean towards God ever since I can remember regardless of how my tree was growing, "I knew then that the only way to protect my self and my tree is to focus on growing", choosing God to be the only source of prosperity and made me accept pain and human suffering and whenever the wind blows and I find my branches weak and problems occur and situations beyond my human ability arise, I go through the storm understanding as human, however and once the winds stop blowing, I immediately shake of the old leaves that have been damaged and once again rise and focus on growing stronger, which can only happen by accepting the pain and trying to stay in God's entourage without any questions simply because... "I believe"

  3. Donna. What an interesting message. It really got me thinking. I like trees very much but I hadn't thought of trees in the way that you did in your video. I love the topics that you are talking about.
Best wishes to you and Robert and all your family from Brisbane Australia Barbie M

  4. Donna, wonderful example with the trees! When I have difficulties (job, come together with selfish people, unsure helth etc.) and myself think how can I get out and smile again. I tray to keep cool and tell myself with God's help I will come out of the unpleasant situation. I pray and get in touch with him. I'm doing it when everything is okay too. I thank God for all nice people who crossed my life, for the beautiful nature, I have the opportunity to go to our riverside, singing birds, ducks, tall trees, everything is green, people there with their nice dogs. Thanks dear God! - God is blessing you and Robert ! - Rosemarie

  5. A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said,
' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors..

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand..'

It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.

You see , in Heaven they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

Remember that I will always share my spoon with you !

Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves (you have been chosen)

  7. Donna,

Wow, what an incredible message. My husband and I were talking the other day about how tough times are and how grateful we are that God is the center of our lives. I often wonder how people get by who do not have God at the center of their lives?? When I look back on my life I can see the many times that I or my family have leaned on God. He has always, always brought us through. Thank you for such an uplifting message.

I wish you a very happy Mother's Day!
    Blessings on you and yours,
    Dana

  11. Your words bring HOPE and I have a short story:

We have a 50 years old fir tree at the back of our yard and this spring, in our part of Canada, after torrential rains we got ferocious winds!

About 4 weeks ago the 50 year old fir tree swayed North then South then North and on it went until next morning when we saw the solar lights about 6 feet from the tree's base were out of the ground along with a lot of root-ball and roots!

I called the telephone company and the city for safety advice in getting the tree removed if, as it seemed, it was a going to have to be removed! The telephone and city inspectors both had a look and said, "We see this all the time! You need to pour a lot of good topsoil over the roots to protect them and we can tell you, from our experience, this tree will find its best balance and live well! If it were our tree, that is what we would do".

So, the tree has settled somewhat and for me, your story and what the 'trees' are telling us is, set down good roots, be prepared for upheival when you will need to have some protection and faith but those roots and trust will bring balance and you will always survive with those two things! Well-grounded roots and faith that God has all well in hand.

Happy Mother's Day to you Donna and all the readers of this site who also are Moms!

  14. Leaning can be the word for many people.
Loving can be the word for many people.
Learning can be the word for many people.

Why is that so diffecult for so many of us.

In my work as communicator, i find it sometimes diffecult to reach to people and let them lean, love and trust them selves.

I often say : trust youre qualities as a human.
trust God that he is trusting you.
God believes in you. Love, trust, lean and learn from God.

Special groups i teach are young people. They are the future for the world we all live in.
Against older people i say: invest and trust the young ones. Learn from them as they want to learn from you. It is so beautiful to see that in progress. It works all the time. Love and trust God. When that is happening they lean into God as they have never done before.
Realising they do so, makes them opener and happy and easy to work with.

I thank God every day. For all the love and, indeed Donna, for all the leaning. It is feeling so wonderfull and warm.
