Robert Schuller, Church With No Walls

Four generations of Robert Schuller!

Shortly after Robert Cohen Schuller IV was born my husband and our son Bobby visited his great-grandpa, Robert Harold Schuller.  I am so glad that I snapped this photo.

 Robert Anthony and Robert Harold are no longer preaching at the Crystal Cathedral.  Robert Vernon has been preaching there for the past ten months.  The church will move it's congregation in just a few weeks, and the Hour of Power televised church service will continue from the new location.  What my father-in-law started almost sixty years ago continues, although in a different way.   What my husband helped build for over thirty-two years will live-on as well.

 Our past and what we do for others is unchangeable.   It is eternal.   Like RHS always said, "anyone can count the seeds in an apple but only God can count the apples in one seed."  I am so thankful to have been a part of some amazing, life-transforming seed-planting for over half of my life.   The years I spent with my husband at both Rancho Capistrano and the Crystal Cathedral were some of the happiest times of my life.
It's never easy to say good-bye but as Albert Lord Tennyson wrote:
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
Always remember all of the great things that have been accomplished for God around the globe because one man had the courage to build a great ministry that will have positive lasting effects on society forever.
To keep up to date with our ministry projects and to help support our continued global efforts please go to Robert's  website:robertschullerministries.org and check back here regularly for information and encouragement.  Please pray for us as we continue to reach the world for Jesus.

  1. As you reminded us all, Donna

    " 'Tis better to have loved and lost
    Than never to have loved at all".

    May J-M add here: All must change
    Though loss be hard to bear
    We know fresh sprouts will soon arise
    From earth made rich, well tilled

    God is Blessing all, always

  2. Dear Donna,
    I believe that the services at the new church will continue to inspire people around the world. I have listened to Bobby's sermons on the HOP these past few weeks and I have been inspired by his messages. I know people who have watched the services in the past will remember Robert H. Schuller and Robert A. Schuller and their inspiring messages. Also you also inspired me when you took part in the services.
    God bless the ministry at the new location.
    Liz

  3. Hi Donna,
    So glad to see the ministry continue! Is that phone number a toll free call? I would love to call in and listen.

  4. It sounds very positive and easy to worship together this way....sort of like connecting "Across the Universe"... or at least wherever we have access to a phone! I checked Robert's Blog on the 1st worship May 15th ( http://robertaschuller.blogspot.ca/ ) and that was good to read too. Hope to connect with all on May 15.

  5. Just off the telephone with you and others at "Church with no Walls", feeling so inspired and close to all; Robert, Donna, Bobby and others after "worshiping together" in this new way. I loved the ease of listening, then choosing to add a comment and the closing prayer and benediction. The prompts, if one wants to be heard on line were easy to follow. I hope even more will join, as I gather these telephone services will be on the 15th of each month. Thank you and I look forward to the next time.

    God is Blessing all, always

  7. Hello Rose..Yes, I called the number Donna had posted on this blog and added the code to be allowed to listen to the Service. I call it a "service" as the opening reading by Donna, the prayer by Robert, the interview of Bobby by Robert, followed by a good talk between Robert, Donna and Bobby reviewing where they all are in their Ministries, where they have been and where they are moving forward to, all moving so well in my opinion, was so good, being together, praying, truly sharing, supporting and worshiping albeit by phone.

    Yes, it was different but in a most positive way. The call line I gather can handle up to 1000 callers listening and, to be heard or ask for prayer there is a code to enter and join the queue, so when the time is right, Robert can take a call and Robert, Donna and the guest can talk together with the caller. Otherwise all are on mute except Robert, Donna and the guest which is a good way to keep the voices of Donna, Robert or guest easy to hear without listeners interrupting.

    I have a North America wide phone plan, so was a free call as it is if I ever call across Canada or USA. I do not know but assume it was a North America wide toll free call anyway but Donna or Robert can answer that for you. Assuming you are in Europe, I guess you need to ask Donna or Robert. Otherwise, at this time, I made a small donation to support the 'Church with no Walls' monthly service, as I know Robert and Donna do good works with any donations but otherwise I did not have to pay anything.

    Robert will be on Hour of Power as a guest of Bobby and I think Robert may be preaching for Bobby one Sunday. I expect the interview will be at the Crystal Cathedral, I think airing June 2. If preaching, it may be at the new location to be called Shepherd's Grove though probably still Hour of Power. Again. keep tuned or ask Donna, Robert or Bobby.

    Take care, Rose and I hope I have answered your question.

    God is Blessing all, always

    1. Wow! Robert and I so loved being with you all! We enjoyed having Bobby with us too. We anxiously await to see how God will use "The Call" in the following months. Maybe we can encourage you to have others over and listen together. You know, a re-birth of the Houses Of Power complete with a curriculum. If you have any suggestions going forward please email me at donna@donnaschuller.com or robert@schullerministries.org
      God is blessing you. Donna
