It's never too late. For me, Fall is cleaning gardens and doing things I have always wanted but never had the or found the time. So, now retired, having always planned to at my age go to a less wealthy country to help somehow, we are going again to Cuba and bringing donated health items they cannot get, toothbrushes and toothpastes, school supplies, sanitary items and I am hoping again my dentist, doctors and pharmacies are all willing to help fill our suitcases with supplies we can distribute. We did this for a short week last March but have been given another opportunity and will go for 15 days. Sure we will enjoy some warm weather and learn more about the people and culture but also it is a wonderful opportunity. I have had many trips in my life just eating and swimming but now I can add a way to learn and share. I feel really happy and blessed to have a community of businesses that also like to help others though in another country away from Canada. Wish us luck and prayers. PS Hoping to find some Spanish books to distribute there but they are hard to find. I pray we find a place to get some before November when we go.
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. Please try to stay on the topic and remember also that there are many who are struggling through all kinds of challenges. Let's all be kind and thoughtful with our comments please! :D
